Supreme Court Junior Court Attendant (Cooking Knowing) Recruitment 2024







The Supreme Court of India invites online applications from Indian citizens for 80 vacancies for the position of Junior Court Attendant (Cooking Knowing) in Level 3 of the Pay Matrix, offering a basic pay of ₹21,700/- per month, plus usual allowances. The approximate gross salary is ₹46,210/- per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals as per the instructions of the court authorities.
  • Maintain the kitchen area and ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Assist in organizing catering services during official events.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualification:
    • 10th standard from a recognized Board/Institute.
    • Minimum one-year full-time diploma in cooking/culinary arts from a recognized Institute.
    • Note: Ex-servicemen with a trade/competency certificate in cooking/catering are also eligible.
  • Experience:
    • At least three years of cooking experience in a prestigious hotel/restaurant, or in a government department/undertaking.

Age Requirement:

  • 18 to 27 years as of 01.08.2024.
  • Age relaxation applicable as per government rules.

Reservation:

  • Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Challenged/Ex-Servicemen candidates as per government norms.
  • Dependents of Freedom Fighters will also be considered as per the Chief Justice's orders.

Selection Process:

  • Written Test: Objective type (General Knowledge and Culinary Arts) – 100 marks
  • Practical Trade Skill Test in Cooking: 70 marks
  • Interview: 30 marks
  • Final selection based on total marks in all stages.


The duration of written test is 1 ½ hours (90 minutes). There will be no negative marking. The Written Test will be conducted at 17 Test Centre in 16 states as per details given below:

  • Application Fee: ₹400/- (₹200/- for reserved categories).
